On September 1, 2021, ICANN and THNIC took part in the SEA IGF 2021 webinar. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, Executive Director of THNIC Foundation and Thailand UA Local Initiative Chair, raised business and technical issues related to universal acceptance of local domain names and email addresses and shared how Thailand UA Local Initiative, led by Thailand Network Information Center, tackled these. She also updated about THNIC efforts to promote UA adoption in Thailand.

Other topics discussed by panelists included an introduction to UA and how to make email servers support EAI (Email Address Internationalization).
